Dream Clinic building signage (branch not stated)

Dream Clinic is an aesthetic clinic on Jalan Lima in Tanjung Tokong, founded in 2022 by Dr Jesse Chong. It is built around Fotona lasers, injectables and skin boosters. The same brand also runs branches in Kuala Lumpur and Johor. Here we set out what is confirmed for Penang, who the doctors are, and the gaps you should ask about.

Overview of Dream Clinic

Dream Clinic opened in 2022 under JXC Healthcare Group Sdn. Bhd. Its Penang home is a single branch at 2 Jalan Lima, Tanjong Tokong. The brand also has outlets in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, and Iskandar Puteri, Johor. You may also see it as "Dream Aesthetic Clinic", which is its TikTok name.

A laser-first aesthetic clinic

The clinic's identity rests on lasers. Its founder works closely with Fotona, a laser maker, and the menu lists more than ten Fotona treatments. Alongside these, there are radiofrequency devices, HIFU, fillers, anti-wrinkle injections and a long list of skin boosters.

So this is a cosmetic and aesthetic practice first. It is not a dermatology clinic, and none of its doctors is described as a dermatologist. The clinic's own FAQ draws the same line between aesthetic doctors and dermatologists.

Why we rank it fourth

This Dream Clinic review places it fourth in our top 10. The founder has clear laser credentials, the device range is broad, and the clinic opens every day. However, it publishes no prices. It also does not say which of its doctors work in Penang. Finally, we could not verify a Google rating, so we do not quote one.

About the doctors at Dream Clinic

The doctors page on the official website covers the whole group: Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor. It does not say which doctor works at which branch. As a result, the Penang roster is not published, and the names below may not all practise on the island. Ask who will treat you when you book.

The founder

Dr Jesse Chong founded Dream Clinic and works as an aesthetic physician. Listed qualifications are an MBBS (Manipal), MRCS (Ireland) and an LCP from the Ministry of Health. Before Dream Clinic, Dr Chong was Director of Aesthetic Medicine and Laser Surgery at Clinic RX (2019 to 2022). Earlier, Dr Chong was Lead Doctor at Lush Aesthetics (2017 to 2019).

The clinic also lists several industry roles. Dr Chong is a Key Opinion Leader for the Fotona StarWalker PQX and an invited speaker at International Fotona Week (2021 to 2025). Dr Chong also trains doctors on the Malaysian Aesthetic Certification programme (MAC 1 and 2). In addition, Dr Chong was Assistant Secretary of the Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine in 2022/2023.

Other doctors in the group

  • Dr Eunice Khor See Ming, aesthetic physician: MBBS (MAHE) and LCP (MOH). Former surgical medical officer at Hospital Bukit Mertajam. Completed the MAC programme.
  • Dr Vera Teh, aesthetic physician: MBBS and MBAHM (IMU), plus MAC (KKM). Former emergency medicine medical officer at Hospital Putrajaya.
  • Dr Amaani Badjenid, aesthetic physician: MB BCh BAO (RCSI, Ireland) and a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). Former medical officer in radiology and at Penang General Hospital's emergency unit.
  • Dr Koay Chiew Ping, aesthetic physician: MD (Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy), a UK postgraduate certificate in aesthetic medicine and MAC. Former wound care medical officer at Hospital Putrajaya.
  • Dr Tiffany Ting and Dr Brendon Chong are named, but with no profile details.

What the credentials mean

An LCP (Letter of Credentialing and Privileging) is the Ministry of Health permit for doctors who perform aesthetic procedures. MAC is a training programme that leads towards it. MRCS is a surgical membership, not a skin qualification. None of these is specialist registration in dermatology.

Services and treatments

Dream Clinic's menu splits into five groups. Lasers and energy devices lead, with Fotona treatments for pigment, texture, lifting, veins, hair removal and snoring. Then come injectables, such as anti-wrinkle toxin, Juvederm and Teosyal fillers, Radiesse and thread lifts. The skin booster list is long too, from Profhilo and Plinest to Skinvive and PRF. For patients, this means one clinic can combine a laser with a booster or filler in a single plan.

Body and hair care round out the menu. The clinic offers fat freezing, fat-dissolving injections and Mounjaro (tirzepatide) weight-management injections. For thinning hair, it lists Hair PRF and the Fotona HAIRestart laser. Because the website covers all three branches, check that your chosen treatment runs in Penang.

Conditions treated

The listed concerns are mostly cosmetic. They range from acne and acne scars and enlarged pores to pigmentation and melasma, lines, sagging skin and eye bags. Nose reshaping, hair loss, tattoos, stretch marks, dark underarms and snoring also feature.

An aesthetic clinic is a reasonable choice for marks, texture and ageing concerns. However, for severe or scarring acne, a rash that will not settle, or a mole that changes, see a dermatologist first. In Penang, Lim Skin Specialist Clinic and Gleneagles Penang dermatology are led by specialists.

  • Acne & acne scars
  • Enlarged pores & ice-pick scars
  • Clogged pores & comedones
  • Pigmentation & melasma
  • Lines & wrinkles
  • Smile lines
  • Saggy skin
  • Double chin & jawline
  • Lips
  • Spider veins (telangiectasia)
  • Benign growth lesions
  • Dark eye circles & eye bags
  • Nose hump, nasal asymmetry & nasal flare
  • Nose bridge enhancement
  • Hair thinning
  • Male & female pattern hair loss

Technology and equipment

Dream Clinic names its devices clearly. The main ones are the Fotona StarWalker PQX, a picosecond laser, and the Fotona SP Dynamis Nx. It also lists the Alma Soprano Titanium, Oligio and Oligio X, Sylfirm X and Ultracel Q+.

In general terms, a picosecond laser such as the StarWalker is used to break up pigment and tattoo ink. You can read more on our pico laser page. The SP Dynamis is a multi-purpose platform, so clinics use it for resurfacing, tightening and vascular work. The Soprano Titanium is a hair removal laser, although Dream Clinic also markets it for "Titanium Lifting". Meanwhile, Oligio is a radiofrequency device for skin laxity, Sylfirm X is RF microneedling, and Ultracel Q+ is a HIFU system. Results vary by person, so ask how many sessions the doctor expects.

Supplier recognitions

The clinic lists certificates such as Fotona Certified Laser Expert, Rejuran Authorized Injector, Profhilo Authorised Treatment Provider and Plinest Honorable Trainer. These come from the companies behind those devices and products. They show training and supplier ties, rather than independent clinical awards.

Pricing at Dream Clinic

Dream Clinic prices are not published on its website. We did not find any price list for the Penang branch, so we do not give figures here.

At your consultation, ask for the full cost of a course, not a single session. Also check whether the consultation fee is separate and whether follow-up visits cost extra. For injectables, ask which product brand and how much product the quote covers. Finally, ask which payment methods the clinic accepts, as these are not listed either.

Location, parking and branches

The Penang branch is at 2 Jalan Lima, in Tanjong Tokong. The area lies on the island's north coast, between George Town and Tanjung Bungah. The official address also names Tanjung Bungah as the locality, so search for "Dream Clinic Jalan Lima" in your map app rather than relying on a postcode.

The clinic does not publish parking or accessibility details. So call or message ahead to ask where to park and whether there are steps at the entrance. This matters most after treatments that leave your face red.

Dream Clinic's other branches are in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, and Iskandar Puteri, Johor. That may help if you split your time between Penang and those cities. However, confirm that your treatment plan can move between branches.

What patients say about Dream Clinic

On 14 October 2026, the Google Maps listing for Dream Clinic on Jalan Lima showed 4.9 stars. Google hides the review count when you are not signed in, so we cannot say how many reviews it covers. The themes below come from independent Penang clinic round-ups.

Patients describe attentive service and consultations that feel clear and unhurried. The premises come across as clean and welcoming, with a boutique feel. The founder is often called friendly and professional, and treatment plans are described as tailored to the person. Some also like the earlier weekend opening for morning appointments.

We found no negative themes in the sources we checked. However, that may reflect limited coverage rather than a spotless record. So read recent reviews yourself before you commit to a course.

Pros and cons

Cons

  • No dermatologist on the team

Who this clinic is best for

Dream Clinic suits adults who want laser or injectable treatment for pigment, scars, texture or ageing skin. It also fits people who prefer a smaller clinic with weekend hours. If you are keen on Fotona devices in particular, the founder's links with the brand are a clear draw.

However, look elsewhere for medical skin disease, severe acne or a worrying mole. A dermatologist-led clinic such as Lim Skin Specialist Clinic is a better first step for those. You can also compare other options in our top 10 list.

How to book

Dream Clinic takes bookings through WhatsApp on +60143248369. You can also call +60 14-324 8369 or email enquiry@dreamclinic.my.

When you message, say that you want the Penang branch and ask which doctor will see you. Bring a list of your medicines, allergies and past treatments. Then ask for a written course price before you agree to anything.
