A Klinik Signature is the aesthetic arm of A Klinik Sdn. Bhd., a group founded in 2018 by Dr Aaron Low and Dr Angeline Hun. The group runs ten clinics in total. Eight carry the plain "A Klinik" name and offer general medical care. Only two use the "Signature" name: this one in Greenlane and another in Damansara Utama, Selangor.

What kind of clinic it is

This is a doctor-run aesthetic practice. None of its doctors is described as a dermatologist, and we found no entry for any of them on the National Specialist Register. The clinic says its practice and doctors hold an LCP, the Ministry of Health credential for aesthetic medical work. We did not check registration numbers ourselves.

Why it sits fifth

This A Klinik Signature review ranks the clinic fifth in our top 10. The device range is broad and the menu covers face, body and hair. In addition, payment options are flexible. However, prices are not published, the Penang doctor roster is not stated and the opening hours differ between official pages.

About the doctors at A Klinik Signature

The official doctors page lists four names under "A Klinik Signature Doctors". However, that heading covers both Signature clinics, Greenlane in Penang and Damansara Utama in Selangor. The site does not say which doctors work in Penang. So treat the list below as the Signature team as a whole, and ask who is on duty in Greenlane before you book.

The founders

Dr Aaron Low Khar Weoi is the group's founder and Medical Director. Listed qualifications are an MD and the Medical Aesthetic Certificate (MAC). Dr Low did housemanship at Hospital Sibu, then worked in government clinics in Sibu, Johor and Penang. The clinic describes Dr Low as an LCP-certified aesthetic doctor.

Dr Angeline Hun Zi Ling co-founded the group. Listed qualifications are an MBBS from the International Medical University and the MAC. Dr Hun trained as a houseman at Hospital Pulau Pinang, then worked in a dermatology department and a health clinic in Penang. The bio also mentions dermatology training abroad, including in the USA, during medical school. Dr Hun created the group's A Skincare product line.

Aesthetic doctors

• Dr Ng Shi Chian: MD (UKM) and MAC. Housemanship at University Malaya Medical Centre, then a government hospital in Kuching. Previously worked in an ENT department.
• Dr See Xin Ni: MBBS (IMU), with the MAC according to the clinic bio. Previously worked in the Emergency Department at Hospital Sri Manjung, Perak.

Reading these credentials

The MAC is a training route for doctors moving into aesthetic work, and the LCP is the permit that follows. Neither is specialist training in skin disease. Also, work in a dermatology department as a medical officer is useful experience, but it is not the same as being a dermatologist.

Services and treatments

The menu at A Klinik Signature is very wide. Injectables form the largest group: Botox, Juvederm fillers, Ellanse, Sculptra, Profhilo, Rejuran, Skinvive and several skin boosters. Then come lifting treatments such as Ultherapy, HIFU and Sylfirm X. The laser side includes pico laser, fractional CO2 and Q-switched lasers, plus hair removal and medical-grade facials.

Body and hair care also take up a large share. For example, the clinic lists Crystal Ice fat freezing, fat-melting injections, weight-loss medication, tattoo removal and removal of moles, cysts and keloids. For hair loss, it offers Regenera Activa, hair fillers, scalp oxygen therapy and a hair laser. Meanwhile, the group's health screening and drips are mostly run at its medical branches, not here.

Conditions treated

Most listed concerns are cosmetic or skin-texture problems. These include acne and acne scars, large pores, dull skin, fine lines and sagging. Volume loss in the cheeks, temples and forehead is also covered, as are dark circles and eye bags.

The clinic also lists a detailed set of pigmentation problems: melasma, freckles, sun spots, Hori's nevus and nevus of Ota. Some of these, melasma in particular, can return after treatment, so ask how the doctor plans to manage relapse. In addition, any mole that is changing should be checked by a dermatologist before removal, because the main question is whether it is safe, not how it looks.

Technology and equipment

A Klinik Signature names several devices. Ultherapy and Ultherapy PRIME use focused ultrasound, and clinics generally use them to tighten and lift skin on the face and neck. Sylfirm X combines radiofrequency with microneedling. It is commonly offered for texture, pores and some pigment problems.

On the laser side, the clinic lists pico, fractional CO2 and Q-switched lasers, but not their makers. In general terms, pico and Q-switched lasers target pigment and tattoo ink. Fractional CO2 is often used for scars and texture, and it usually needs more recovery time.

Crystal Ice is a fat-freezing (cryolipolysis) system, and Regenera Activa is a hair-loss procedure. Since laser brands are not named, ask which machine you will be treated with and how many sessions the doctor expects. Results vary from person to person.

Pricing at A Klinik Signature

A Klinik Signature prices are not published. The treatment FAQs say cost depends on what the doctor recommends at consultation, so we cannot give figures here.

When you ask for a quote, request the price of the whole course and check whether the consultation is charged separately. For fillers or skin boosters, ask which product and how much of it the price includes. On payment, the clinic accepts cash, online transfer, debit and credit cards, plus GrabPay and Touch 'n Go through DuitNow QR. It also offers credit-card instalments from six months with selected banks.

Location, parking and branches

The clinic sits at 26 Q, Jalan Masjid Negeri, in Taman Guan Joo Seng. Locals know this stretch as Greenlane. Official pages give the locality as either Jelutong or George Town, but both use postcode 11600. If you search for A Klinik Signature Greenlane in a map app, use the Google Maps link from the clinic's site to land on the right shophouse.

Parking is not stated, so call ahead and ask where to leave your car. The Google listing notes wheelchair-accessible seating. However, check entrance access by phone if you use a wheelchair.

This is the only Signature branch in Penang. The other Signature clinic is in Damansara Utama, Selangor, which may suit you if you also spend time in the Klang Valley.

Opening hours

Most sources show the Greenlane branch open from 10am to 7pm and closed on Thursdays, though an older official page says it opens daily. Public holiday hours are not published, so call or WhatsApp first, especially before a Thursday or holiday visit.
